Step 1: Customer writes a check. Step 2: The check is run through check reader terminal. The terminal reads the codes at bottom of check and verifies the check electronically. Step 3: The electronic codes are sent to Retriever and are checked against a comprehensive database of checks and check writers. Step 4: The check approval is electronically transferred back to the terminal and an authorization slip is generated. Step 5: The customer is given the authorization slip to sign, print their name and telephone number. These items are required for Retreiver to collect funds from customer's bank account. Step 6: The customer is given a copy of the signed authorization slip and their check is given back, now stamped "ACH PROCESSED." Step 7: Transaction information is stored inside the check reader terminal. At the end of the day, this information is settled to Retreiver Check. Step 8: Funds are then electronically transferred into your merchant's account within days instead of weeks. Step 9: The transaction will appear on customer's bank statement. Check Conversion with Guarantee means if the transaction doesn't clear, Premier will collect the complete amount. The Merchant doesn't have to hassle with returned checks or fees.
